About One McKinley Square
With
views of downtown Boston on three sides, the offices of Lurie &
Krupp, LLP are located on the fourth floor of the elegant and
historically-significant building known as One McKinley Square.
Situated in the heart of the Financial District, the location offers
convenient access to I-93, the Massachusetts Turnpike and the Blue
Line's Aquarium T stop.
One McKinley Square faces the Custom House tower across a small
brick plaza, with Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market just a block away.
As part of the National Register's Custom House District, One
McKinley Square provides a link between historic and contemporary
Boston. Built in 1858 as a warehouse for the Long and Central Wharf
Corporation by the same architect responsible for Old City Hall, One
McKinley Square was renovated and converted into professional office
condominiums in 1979. The building is a seven-story wood-frame and
brick structure with Italianate granite facades on State Street,
McKinley Square, and Central Street and a mansard design on the
sixth and seventh floors. Our building is one of only a few
remaining area structures
that hearken back to the atmosphere of Boston in the 1850's and
1860's - Boston's heyday as a seaport.
The Atlantic Avenue side of the block faces the Wharf District Park,
a focal point of the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway connecting
Boston's downtown to its waterfront area, with creative lighting at
night and a mesmerizing computer-controlled circular fountain in nice weather.
